Applications

• Industrial synthesis: It is crucial for producing formic acid and oxalic acid, and can also be used to prepare chemicals such as sodium hydrosulfite and formamide.

• Environmental protection and water treatment: It treats heavy metal-containing wastewater (e.g., electroplating wastewater) and can also serve as a reducing agent for flue gas denitrification.

• Textile and printing & dyeing: It adjusts the pH value of dye baths to stabilize dyes and improve color fastness, and is also used in fabric wrinkle-resistant/shrink-proof treatment.

• Others: It can be used as an environmentally friendly deicing agent and a feed additive for ruminants; pharmaceutical-grade sodium formate can also act as a pharmaceutical excipient.
